Privacy Policy
Card Validator for iOS · MW3 Designs, LLC · Effective November 4, 2026
Card Validator does not collect, store on any server, share, or sell personal data. There is no account, no login, and no analytics, advertising, or third-party tracking.
Camera
The app uses the iPhone camera for one purpose: to read the PDF417 barcode printed on an auto insurance ID card. Camera images and the decoded barcode data are processed entirely on your device. They are never uploaded, transmitted, or saved to any server, and no copy of them is kept by us.
Data the app handles
The barcode on an insurance card can contain information such as a vehicle identification number, policy number, names, company code, and dates. Card Validator displays that information on screen so you can compare it with the printed card. It stays on your device.
What the app does not do
- It does not create an account or require you to sign in.
- It does not send your data to any server, including ours.
- It does not include advertising, analytics, or crash-reporting SDKs.
- It does not track you across apps or websites.
- It does not sell or share data with anyone.
Permissions
Camera access is requested only when you choose to scan a barcode, and you can turn it off at any time in iOS Settings. Without camera access the app cannot scan, and it will tell you so.
Children
The app is a professional utility and is not directed at children. It collects no data from anyone.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
